In this hands-on lab, each student will learn how modern solid-state electronics work by building live circuits with transistors, resistors, and capacitors. The function of these basic electronic components will be revealed as students dim lights with resistors, flash lights with capacitors, turn lights on and off with a transistor and a balloon, and make buzzers buzz with water, light, or a handshake. Funding for the electronic board components provided by Lucent Technologies.

Limited grant funds are available to qualifying schools. Please call for details.

This program supports the Colorado Model Content Standards for Science: 2.2, 2.3
