Developing the science and technology of liquid crystals is an intrinsically multidisciplinary pursuit, spanning the fields of chemistry, physics, chemical engineering, and electrical engineering, the principal academic disciplines of the Center's senior investigators. The Program focuses on interdisciplinary education and training, preparing graduates for careers in this exciting area of materials science and engineering by fostering collaborative research. Highlights of the Program include a one-semester laboratory rotation, mentored teaching opportunities, and a three-month industrial internship. More information on the Program is available in our brochure. Any graduate student, whether already enrolled at the University of Colorado or just considering coming here, who is interested in being part of this program, is urged to fill out an application form and submit it as soon as possible. If you are unable to download these materials (you will need the Adobe Acrobat Reader) we will be happy to send them to you: just e-mail us your mailing address.
