Science From CU premieres our new Science Box Traveling Kits. These resources are designed to supplement a unit and enrich science instruction.

Sports Materials - What are they? How are they chosen?
How do they affect your game?

This kit is designed to illustrate that sports equipment is designed to meet the requirements of a specific sport and that the materials used in the equipment’s construction help it meet those requirements. Students learn the attributes and advantages of sports materials. Each activity prepares students for the Design Project in which they are challenged to make a mini-golf ball or invent a new sports product. This kit contains teacher manual, student activities, sports equipment, and supporting resources.

This kit is appropriate for students in grades 5 through 9

Fees and Booking: Kits are loaned for three weeks.
Shipping and handling charges are $25.
The kits are shipped via UPS to anywhere in Colorado.
To reserve a kit, please call the Science From CU Office at (303) 492-8640.
