Materials Science from CU

In this science education enrichment program Center personnel develop and present, in schools throughout the State of Colorado, hands-on classes designed to teach physical science concepts using the current understanding of materials. The map shows where classes have been delivered since 1998 — 840 presentations to over 48,000 children, more than half of whom were in either rural or metro Denver inner-city schools. The current classes include Electronics Lab; Light, Polarization & Liquid Crystals; Light & Lasers; Magnets & Electricity; States of Matter; Ups & Downs: Sports Materials; Molecules in Motion; Cool & Creative Chemistry; and Exploring the Nanoworld.
